FORT JENNINGS — The Fort Jennings boys basketball team dominated Columbus Grove from the start, runnnng away with a 60-33 Putnam County League rout Saturday night at The Fort.
Senior Derek Geise led the Musketeers (6-2, 1-0 PCL) with 18 markers and classmate Aaron Chandler added 10.
The hosts shot 25-of-49 from the floor (4-of-10 3s) for 51% and 6-of-6 at the line. They owned 25 rebounds as junior Troy Warnecke had six. Jared Horstman delivered four assists and the team combined for eight turnovers and seven fouls. They visit Kalida in PCL play Friday.
Guiding the Bulldogs (0-6, 0-3) were Adam Osterhage with 12. They canned 14-of-42 fielders (3-of-11 beyond the arc) for 33.3%, as well as 2-of-6 singles (33.3%). Osterhage had seven of the team’s 20 caroms and they totaled 11 miscues and eight fouls. They visit Allen East Friday.

MINSTER — Minster outscored Ottoville 19-4 in the second period and downed Ottoville 59-40 in boys non-conference cage action Saturday night in Minster.
Logan Sommer topped the host Wildcats (5-2) with 13, along with 12 by Andrew Baumer and 11 by Sam Otting.
For the Big Green (4-5), Brad Turnwald netted nine and Jacob Landin eight.
Ottoville is at Pandora-Gilboa Saturday.
