Franklin Youngpeter

Franklin D. Youngpeter, 75, of Landeck, died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
He was born March 13, 1933, in Landeck, to John and Irene (Mueller) Youngpeter.
On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Mary Jane Verhoff, who survives in Landeck.
Other survivors include son David (Rhonda) Youngpeter of Spencerville; daughter Ann (Randy) Baldauf of Delphos; sisters Martha Flanagan of Delphos and Velma Kinstle; brothers Hubert Youngpeter of Delphos and Eugene (Mary) Youngpeter of Lima; grandchildren Nicole and Ryan Baldauf; step-grandchildren Alan (Misty) Brooks and Derrick and David Brooks; and stepgreat-grandchildren Johnathan and Cole Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his brother Louis; and sister Lilian Reindel.
Mr. Youngpeter farmed and was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters in Landeck, Knights of Columbus 1362 and the Eagles. He loved to travel the world, especially to Europe, flying, camping at Huggy Bear Campground, working crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Revs. John Fleck, Ken Schnipke and Gene Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Landeck.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-8 p.m. Friday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to donor’s choice.
