Members earn American FFA Degrees

Trentman

Alan Trentman received his American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention. He is the son of Bob and Deb Trentman of rural Delphos.
Trentman has completed all of the requirements through the FFA that enabled him to achieve the highest FFA honor for a student and received the greenhand, chapter and state FFA degrees.
He has been an active member of the Delphos FFA Chapter for five years, completed four years of systematic agriculture education instruction, has productively invested $7,500, worked over 2,500 hours above scheduled class time, maintained a “C” or better grade point average and was extremely involved as a Delphos FFA member through numerous activities.
His SAE consisted of working for the Delphos Food Locker, where he put in over 2,000 hours. His duties consisted of daily chores of cleaning, sanitizing, processing different meat products and a variety of other skills. He also continues to work for United Equity Inc., which was also a major part of his supervised agricultural program while in high school.
Trentman served on several committees, participated in Canal Days, Spring Expo, Fruit Sales and attended State and National Convention.
He is currently attending the University of Northwestern of Ohio, majoring in agribusiness, and is employed by Untied Equity Inc.
Hoersten

Bryan Hoersten received his American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention. He is the son of and Charles and Brenda Hoersten of rural Delphos.
Hoersten has completed all of the requirements through the FFA that enabled him to achieve the highest FFA honor for a student and received his greenhand, chapter, and state FFA degrees.
He has been an active member of the Delphos FFA chapter for five years, completed four years of systematic Agriculture Education Instruction, has productively invested $7,500, worked over 2,500 hours above scheduled class time, maintained a “c” or better grade point average and was extremely involved as a Delphos FFA member through numerous activities.
His SAE consisted of raising redworms and working for the Ohio Department of Agriculture as a gypsy moth trapper.  He was very competitive in the Specialty Animal Production, placing first runner-up two years in a row on the state level for his work with his redworms.
Hoersten served as chapter vice president, served on many committees and chaired a few also. He also participated in Fruit Sales, State and National conventions, many leadership conferences, and also career development events like Ag. Mechanics, Greenhand Quiz, Small Engines and Parliamentary Procedure.
Hoersten is currently attending the University of Dayton majoring in engineering.

Miller

Zach Miller received his American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention. He is the son of and Duane and Audra Miller of Delphos.
Miller also has completed all of the requirements through the FFA that enabled him to achieve the highest FFA honor for a student. He has received the greenhand, chapter, and state FFA degrees. He has been an active member of the Delphos FFA chapter for five years, completed four years of systematic Agriculture Education Instruction, has productively invested $7,500 worked over 2,500 hours, above scheduled class time, maintained a “c” or better grade point average and was extremely involved as a Delphos FFA member through a numerous amount of Activities.
His SAE consisted of raising market steers, feeder calves and chickens and exhibiting them at the Van Wert county Fair. He also worked for D & D Ingredients, Kaverman Farms and Construction. Miller served on many committees and chaired a few also and also participated in Fruit Sales, State and National Convention, many leadership conferences, and also Career Development events like soils and the Greenhand Quiz.
Miller is currently working for Grothouse Plumbing and Heating

.Looser

Brent Looser received his American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention. He is the son of and Jerry and Mary Looser of rural Delphos.
Looser has completed all of the requirements through the FFA that enabled him to achieve the highest FFA honor for a student and has received his greenhand, chapter, and state FFA degrees.
He has been an active member of the Delphos FFA chapter for five years, completed four years of systematic Agriculture Education Instruction, has productively invested $7,500, worked over 2,500 hours, above scheduled class time, maintained a “c” or better grade point average and was extremely involved as a Delphos FFA member through a numerous amount of Activities.
His SAE consisted of raising market hogs, market sheep and exhibiting them at the Allen County Fair. He also worked for the Delphos Food Locker. Looser also had a very unique SAE where is was very competitive at the state level in Special Animal Production Proficiency area by raising alpacas with his parents.
Looser served as a chapter officer, served on many committees and chaired a few also. He also participated in Fruit Sales, State and National Convention, many leadership conferences, and also Career Development events like the Greenhand Quiz and Parliamentary Procedure.
Looser is currently attending The Ohio State University, where his major is undecided.

Brentlinger

Micah Brentlinger of the Delphos FFA Chapter received his American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention. He is the son of and Dan And Deb Siefker of rural Delphos.
Brentlinger also has completed all of the requirements through the FFA that enabled him to achieve the highest FFA honor for a student and has received his greenhand, chapter, and state FFA degrees.
He has been an active member of the Delphos FFA chapter for five years, completed four years of systematic Agriculture Education Instruction, has productively invested $7,500, worked over 2,500 hours, above scheduled class time, maintained a “c” or better grade point average and was extremely involved as a Delphos FFA member through a numerous amount of Activities.
His SAE’s consisted of raising market steers and market hogs and exhibiting  them at the Allen county Fair. He also worked for the Siefker Sawmill where he was the state winner in Forest Management and Products Placement Proficiency award area.
Brentlinger served on many committees and chaired a few also.  He also participated in Fruit Sales, State and National Convention, many leadership conferences, and also Career Development events like soils and the Greenhand Quiz.
Brentlinger is currently working for Siefker Sawmill.

Turner

Kristie Turner of the Delphos FFA Chapter received her American FFA Degree also at the National FFA Convention. She is the daughter of and Bill and Bessie Turner  of  Delphos.
Turner also has completed all of the requirements through the FFA that enabled her to achieve the highest FFA honor for a student and has received her greenhand, chapter, and state FFA degrees.
She has been an active member of the Delphos FFA chapter for five years, completed four years of systematic Agriculture Education Instruction, has productively invested $7,500, worked over 2,500 hours, above scheduled class time, maintained a “c” or better grade point average and was extremely involved as a Delphos FFA member through a numerous amount of Activities.
Her SAE’s consisted of raising market sheep and exhibiting them at the Allen county Fair.  She also worked for the H.G. Violet Equipment where she was the state winner in Agricultural Communications placement proficiency award area.
She served on many committees and chaired a few also.  She also participated in Fruit Sales, State and National Convention, many leadership conferences, and also Career Development events like the Greenhand Quiz and Parliamentary Procedure.
Turner is currently working in Columbus.
