The Special Services Department of Allen County Children Services will honor November as National Adoption Awareness Month with a luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Old Barn Out Back. The department has 48 licensed adoptive and foster to adopt homes in the county and as of October, there were 27 families who adopted children in the past or who are in the process of adopting. Special recognition will be granted to these families during the event.
