Dorothy A. Dray

Dorothy A. Dray, 82, of Delphos, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at her residence.
She was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Delphos, to Herbert and Edith (Miller) Mericle.
On Aug. 30, 1945, she married Gene Dray, who survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include son Roger (Lynn) Dray of Elida; daughter Brenda (Vaclav) Lorencovic of Elida; and grandchildren Nikoli and Serena Lorencovic and Nancy, Jonathan and Jesiah Dray.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Harold and Eugene Mericle.
Mrs. Dray was a homemaker who had worked as a switchboard operator for Lima Telephone and Telegraph Company in Delphos. She enjoyed her animals and fishing, especially in Alaska. She held memberships with St. Peter Lutheran Church; Military Wives of Fort Benning, Ga., Japan and Alaska; and the Six Corps Wives Club.
Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, the Rev. Katherine Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be made to Angels For Animals Rescue League in Elida.
