The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium will award $5,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in Allen, Putnam and three other counties.
Trade school, tech school and engineering students may also apply by submitting a one-page essay to the consortium at building 129, 4240 Campus Dr., Lima, Ohio 45804.
Essays must discuss education and career goals, list completed coursework, classes planned to be taken, GPA and current resume by Aug. 31.
Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certificate in engineering or a manufacturing-related field and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
The consortium will award scholarships of up to $1,000 in each of the five member counties.
