Jeffrey Klausing, 41, of Kapolei, Hawaii died Tuesday, June 26 in Moose Pass, Alaska, from injuries sustained in an RV accident while on vacation.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, on Aug. 22, 1965, he was the son of the late Edmund R. Klausing, who died on May 14, 2002, and Barbara M. (Sterling) Klausing who resides in LaGrange, Ind.
On Aug. 31, 1996, he married Dawn (Au) in Las Vegas, N.V. She died as a result of the same accident.
Also surviving are two children,  Kaylie Klausing and Kyle Klausing of Kapolei, Hawaii; and a brother and sister–in-law, Tony and Sandy Klausing of LaGrange, Ind.
A 1983 Lakeland High School graduate, Mr. Klausing was retired from the United States Air Force but currently working for the United States government in Kapolei, Hawaii.
Burial will be at Punch Bowl National Cemetery in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Frurip-May Funeral Home at 309 West Michigan St., LaGrange, Ind., with the Rev. James Simpson officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to services time at the funeral home.
Memorials may be contributed to the Veterans Hospital.

    I was stationed with Jeff at RAF Alconbury. He was the first person that I supervised in the Air Force and one of my closest friends in the Air Force - that last time I saw him was when he came back to visit a few years ago. He will be missed - RIP Jeff

    Jeff and I were also coworkers at RAF Alconbury and was one heck of an airman. Wise beyond his years…peace be still.
