St. John’s High School Principal Don Huysman has announced commencement exercises for 3 p.m. Sunday in the Robert A. Arnzen Gymnasium.
The class of 2007’s valedictorian is Amanda Recker, daughter of Michael and Marsha Recker.
Recker has been involved with National Honor Society, the Crespi Society, Junior Optimists, choir and was a football cheerleader. She has been a competitive dancer and a church greeter and eucharistic minister and was awarded an Elks Student of the Month award.
One highlight of this year’s graduation will be the awarding of the Ohio Board of Regents Award to Nicole Mesker, daughter of Carl and Sharon Mesker.
Mesker has been involved with National Honor Society, student council, was the senior class president and co-editor of the school newspaper and in Allen County 4-H. She has been a dancer, church greeter, eucharistic minister and acolyte.
The class of 2007 includes the Bishop’s Gold Cross award winner Brad Metzger.
