Norma K. Griffis

Norma K. Griffis, 70, of Delphos, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at her residence.
She was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Ada, to Nolan and Audrey (Ream) Burman.
She was married to David Griffis, who preceded her in death in 2005.
Survivors include son David (Tracey) Griffis of Fort Wayne; daughters Pamela Griffis of Delphos, Cheryl (Michael) Springer of Van Wert and Carolyn (Michael) Brock of Delphos; sister Avonelle Ballinger of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, a great-grandchild, three step-grandchildren, a step-great-grandchild and a beloved cat, “Ike.”
She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, “Rusty.”
Mrs Griffis was a homemaker who held membership with St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Eagles 471, VFW 3035 and was a former member of Delphos City Council. She enjoyed reading, doing crafts and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 6 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to Delphos Visiting Nurses and Hospice or Best Friend Animal Sanctuary.
