Two FFA members to move on in public speaking
Recently, three members of the Delphos FFA competed in the Public Speaking Career Development Event.
The purpose of this contest is to help students gain experience in public speaking as well as develop that art that it takes to address a group of people in a professional manner.
Two members competed in creed speaking which included Kayla Wrasman and Joel Pohlman. Wrasman placed fourth and received a gold rating and Pohlman placed second and earned a gold rating as well.
Pohlman also earned the right to advance to district competition.
Keith Pohlman competed in beginning prepared public speaking and placed second in his contest, receiving a gold rating.
Keith Pohlman wrote a speech about ethanol and its advantages and disadvantages.
The district speaking contest was on Feb. 27 at Hardin Northern.
