Michael L. Enyart

Michael L. Enyart, 59, of Van Wert, died at 3:35 PM Friday at his residence, following an extended illness.

He was born June 3, 1947, in Celina, to Sherman and Carrie (Williamson) Enyart. They preceded him in death.

On March 19, 1966, he married Mae Smith, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son, Terry (LaGina) Enyart of Van Wert; two sisters, Ada Ruth (John) Fast of Celina and Mary (Gene) Steiner of Rockford; and two grandaughters, Madison and Abbie Enyart.

He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Enyart; two brothers, Don and Jerry Enyart; and three sisters: Dorothy Flore, Norma Jean Howell and Barbara Enyart.

Mr. Enyart was employed at the former Fruehauf Corp. of Delphos for 14 years and then owned and operated Enyart’s Welding and Small Engine Repair. A Vietnam veteran having served with the U.S. Army, he was a member of the American Legion Post 178, the VFW and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 54 of Van Wert. He was a charter member of the Liberty Baptist Church, Van Wert.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church, Van Wert, the Senior Pastor, Jim Burns, officiating.

Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio, with Military Services Conducted by combined units of the American Legion Post 178 and V.F.W. Post 5803.

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Also, friends and family may call one hour prior to service time Wednesday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund or Community Health Professionals- Hospice Program of Van Wert.
