G. Leon ‘Curly’ Hall

G. Leon “Curly” Hall, 74, of Elida, died at 2:11 p.m. Thursday at Triumph Hospital, Lima.

He was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Detroit, to Robert S. and Verna “Faye” (Slayden) Hall.

On Sept. 22, 1950, he married Betty Foust, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Gary (Patricia Hall) of Ocoee, Fla.; two daughters, Sharon (Brian) Overholt of Gomer and Linda (Toby) Jenkins of Elida; two sisters, Virginia (Harold) Pease of Rockwood, Mich.; a brother, Robert (Peggy) Hall of Lima; nine grandchildren, Nakina Hall of London, Ky., Brady Overholt of Gomer, Kayla (Andy) Wita of Rimer, Christian Jenkins of Elida, Elise Jenkins of Elida, Jaden Overholt of Gomer, Nathan Jenkins of Elida, Riley Overholt of Gomer and Jency Jenkins of Elida; and a great-grandchild, Gage Wita of Rimer.

Mr. Hall worked at Ex-Cello Corp. (Textron) of Lima and retired from Textron in Elwood, Ind., on April 1, 1991, after 39 years. He was a member of Elida Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Lima Senior Citizens. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and vacations with his family.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, the Rev. Gary Rode officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Elida Immanuel United Methodist Church.
