City gains two officers on the police force

Line, 21, is the son of Les and Melody Line of Fort Jennings.

He has previously worked for Ottoville Police Department and as a special deputy for the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department.

Foust and his wife, Charis, live in rural Elida and have three children, Mallory, 19, Holly, 17 and Jacob, 14.

He has prior experience as a special deputy for Van Wert and Allen county sheriffs’ departments.

Both officers began their duties Monday with Foust assigned to the day shift and Line to the night shift
